As part of our International Recruitment Project, we have developed a groundbreaking training programme to support newly arrived overseas care workers in the Southeast.

Current Training

Our 2025-2026 training programme is delivered online via live, tutor-led group sessions by experienced and qualified trainers. Our courses are offered primarily to displaced migrant care workers.

Everyday English & Cultural Awareness LEVEL 1

(Six 90-minute online sessions over six consecutive weeks)

Gain the confidence to communicate more effectively with service users.

Explore the nuances of everyday conversation, including phrases, idioms, slang, dialects, and British culture.

(Six 90-minute online sessions over six consecutive weeks)

For sponsored overseas care workers who have completed the Level 1 course, this follow-on course focuses on improving confidence in communication, dealing with challenging situations, and improving critical thinking and active listening.

Wellbeing Development Programme

(3-month programme comprising six 90-minute online workshops, combined with a timetable of wellness and peer support activities)

This innovative 3-month online programme combines wellness workshops focusing on communication skills, stress management, and cultural adaptation, with a range of wellness and peer support sessions to help build resilience and prevent burnout.

Buddy Training for Staff Supporting Overseas Recruits

(Two 90-minute workshops over two consecutive weeks)

A two-part programme designed to equip designated staff (“buddies”) with the skills and knowledge to support displaced workers and international recruits, helping them adjust to their new roles and environment effectively.

Mastering Social Care Communication

(Half-hour online intro, then 4 weekly 90-minute online sessions + 2 hours of eLearning per week = 8 hours total)

CPD accredited course combining e-learning and online, instructor-led role-playing.

Covers language skills and specific social care scenarios including self-introductions,  personal care, managing falls, and addressing mental health.

(4-day online course)

Covering all theoretical aspects of the Care Certificate, together with Medication and Moving & Handling.

Additional English language support.

Upon completion, providers simply need to cover the practical aspects of the Care Certificate, to meet Skills for Care full certification requirements.
