Building on the success of previous events, this year’s conference will deliver a strong programme of expert insight, practical sessions and networking opportunities.

We are pleased to confirm a high-profile guest speaker: Vic Rayner OBE, CEO of the National Care Forum.

The programme will also include an update on SESCA’s International Recruitment Project, including how providers can access funding and support to sponsor internationally recruited care workers.

Headline Speakers

Chair: Erica Lockhart MBE

Erica is Chair of SESCA and a respected leader in the adult social care sector.

Erica co-founded the Care Association Alliance (CAA) in 2010, creating a unified national voice for Care Associations, and went on to establish SESCA in 2020 to represent and support care providers across the region.

As Chair of SESCA, Erica has overseen the delivery of the Department of Health and Social Care-funded International Recruitment Project across the South East, which has supported the placement of over 500 internationally recruited care professionals who had become displaced into new, ethical sponsorship arrangements.

In recognition of her contribution to social care, Erica was awarded an MBE in 2025.

Guest Speaker: Professor Vic Rayner OBE

Vic is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Care Forum, joining the organisation in 2016.

Vic is a regular national and international speaker and has extensive knowledge and expertise across a wide range of care, support, housing and social policy agendas.

Prior to joining the NCF, she was the CEO of Sitra, a leading national membership body championing excellence in housing, health, care and support.

Vic was awarded an OBE for services to social care in 2021.
