Provider Briefing Webinar: “Earned Settlement” Consultation

This webinar will explain the Government’s proposed “Earned Settlement” reforms, set out the implications for providers and migrant care workers, and support adult social care providers across the South East to respond before the consultation closes on 12 February 2026.

This session will:

  • Explain the key proposals within the “Earned Settlement” consultation

  • Explore the likely implications for workforce planning, retention, and sponsorship

  • Provide guidance on how providers can respond effectively to the consultation

  • Highlight the practical steps providers can take to support existing sponsored staff

CQC Engagement Events

CQC has launched a programme of online and in-person engagement events to help shape the next stage of its assessment frameworks across all sectors, including adult social care.

These sessions offer an important opportunity for South East providers to influence how CQC refines its quality statements, assessment principles and sector-specific expectations.


Online Workshops

CQC is hosting a range of sector-specific online workshops, including a dedicated Adult Social Care session on Wednesday 3 December (3:00–4:30pm).
Other sessions cover hospitals, primary care, community services and mental health.


In-Person Workshop – Adult Social Care

CQC is also running a face-to-face ASC workshop in London on Wednesday 10 December (10:30am–4:00pm), led by Chris Badger, Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care and Integrated Care.
This session will explore the future shape of the assessment framework and what “good” should look like.

Please note: Providers must submit an expression of interest by Monday 1 December 2025 to attend the in-person session.

UKVI Webinars

Overview of changes to the Skilled Worker route from 09 April 2025: Support provisions and new requirements for sponsoring care workers and senior care workers based entirely in England.

From 9th April 2025, care providers in England must prioritise recruiting displaced care workers already in the UK before sponsoring new overseas staff. To support understanding of these changes, UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration – a division of the Home Office) is hosting a series of webinars for care providers.
